Step 1: Prepare the materials
We used contact lens solution for this slime recipe, you have to choose a contact lens solution that contains boric acid as this reacts with the PVA glue to create the stretchy slime substance. We purchased “Bausch & Lomb Sensitive Eyes Saline Solution”.
Step 2: Add the glue
In a bowl add 1 cup of PVA glue, you can choose to add 1 or 2 tablespoons of water and mix them together.
Step 3: Add baking soda
The next step is to add 1 level teaspoon of baking soda to the mix and combine thoroughly.
Step 4: Add the contact lens solution
The next step is to mix in 1 tablespoon of contact lens solution and mix thoroughly. It’s now time to experiment with the texture of the slime.
If you feel the slime is too sticky, gradually add another drop of contact lens solution. You can begin to knead the slime and keep mixing until you achieve your desired stretchy texture for slime. You will also notice that it will get thicker after a few minutes.
Step 5: Choose your design and add glitter
The final step is to add glitter to personalise your slime to become your very own design.
