Step 1 – Prepare the materials
Children will love running around to gather a selection of beautiful summer flowers. When they have gathered the flowers, they may choose to sort through them to create a specific colour scheme.
Step 2 – Thread the string through a large needle
A large plastic wool needle will be most suitable for younger children. Simply thread the string through the eye of the needle and then push the needle through each flower. A bit of experimentation is required as some flowers will thread easier than others and some may fall apart easily but if you gather enough flowers you can create a necklace with an abundance of colour.
Step 3 – Complete the necklace
When the flowers have been attached simply tie the ends of the thread and your necklace is complete. Children will love using a mirror to admire their new creations!
