Step 1: Prepare the materials
The materials are really easy to set-up for this project, all you need are paper plates, a selection of poster paints and some glitter.
Step 2: Paint the plates
Children will love painting the paper plates in their favourite colours. Try experimenting with different colours to achieve a streaked effect. Using sponges dipped in different paint colours are also a great way to create horizontal stripes.
Step 3: Sprinkle with glitter
Once a paper plate has been painted, the fun part is sprinkling glitter on the wet paint – the more glitter the more sparkle!
Step 4: Display your finished work
Once the paper plates have been completed, shake off any excess glitter and leave them to dry. They can later be hung up together as a display where the children can admire their wonderful sparkle plate creations!
