Step 1 – Prepare the materials
The first step involves gathering the materials you need. For younger children, it can be beneficial to cut out the foam items such as the bunnies feet and ears and the chick’s feet and beak before you start the project, as this will simplify the task for younger children.
Step 2 – Paint the toilet rolls
Children can simply paint the toilet rolls based on which options they are creating: white for the Easter bunnies and yellow for the Easter Chicks. Once the toilet rolls have been painted they can be laid out to dry.
Step 3 – Decorate the Easter Bunnies
For the Easter bunnies carry out the following steps:
- Stick on pre-cut foam shapes for the feet
- Stick on pre-cut foam shapes for the ears
- Place on stick-on eyes
- Glue on a white pom-pom for the nose, along with pink craft pipe cleaners
- Draw on a mouth using black marker
Step 4 – Decorate the Easter Chicks
For the Easter bunnies carry out the following steps:
- Stick on pre-cut foam shapes for the feet
- Stick on an orange foam beak
- Place on stick-on eyes
- Glue some feathers on the back of the toilet roll
Step 5 – Glue on a circular base and a handle
If you want to use your Easter bunnies and Easter chicks to collect treats then you can simply attach a strip of paper or card as a handle and attach it to the toilet roll. In addition to this, cut out a circular piece of card and glue it to the bottom of the toilet rolls. Now you are ready to collect some Easter treats!
