Learning Minds Answer Buzzers For Quizzes – Set of 4 Lights & Sounds Buzzers For Pub Quiz Games
Step 1 – Gather the materials
You will need flash cards with numbers, we found a good selection of printable flashcards on www.activityvillage.co.uk. The children will also need two writing boards and a score board, we simply laminated white A4 paper and used whiteboard markers for this. To add a fun element, you will also need two buzzers.
Step 2 – Set-up the game
Each player will receive a writing board and you can set up the scoreboard with a side marked for each player. Then shuffle the number cards into a deck of cards.
Step 3 – Provide each player with two number cards
To start the game deal out two number cards to each player faced upside down. The dealer then says “you may start now”. Each player will then turn over the two cards they have been dealt, they must write out the two numbers as an addition sum on their writing board and they must calculate and write out the answer.
Step 4 – Hit the buzzer to answer
The first player to hit their buzzer will be given the opportunity to win the point. If the player got the correct answer they will win a point, if their answer was incorrect they pass the opportunity to the other player. If the other player got the correct answer they receive a point, if they got the incorrect answer no points were received for that round.
Step 4 – Repeat until each round is played
Repeat the steps until all number cards have been dealt and all rounds have been completed. Then calculate the total points for each player on the scoreboard. The winner with the most points wins!
